CC Real is redefining sustainability in the shopping center industry with the transformation of City Center one Split. Following a €20 million renovation, the center became the first property in Croatia to fully comply with the EU Taxonomy for sustainable economic activity. Additionally, it earned the DGNB Gold certification, marking a milestone in ecological responsibility and modern retail development.
With 6.5 million visitors annually, City Center one Split is one of the a leading shopping and leisure destination in the Dalmatian region. Anchor tenants include INTERSPAR, Müller, Peek&Cloppenburg, H&M, Mango, IKEA, C&A, McDonald´s and Cineplexx. The renovation, completed while the center remained fully operational, introduced energy-efficient LED lighting, water-saving installations, and a contemporary design featuring wood, metal, and a lush green wall and almost 1,000 plants. Over 40 tenants upgraded their store concepts and/or relocated within the centre, and new brands like Batak and Koykan have enriched the dining experience.
By year-end, a new entertainment and social hub will further enhance the center’s appeal, reinforcing its role as a vibrant community space. Under the slogan “Same Place, New Memories,” City Center one Split is setting a new benchmark for sustainable, experience-driven retail in Europe.
