CC Real is redefining sustainability in the shopping center industry with the transformation of City Center one Split. Following a €20 million renovation, the center became the first property in Croatia to fully comply with the EU Taxonomy for sustainable economic activity. Additionally, it earned the DGNB Gold certification, marking a milestone in ecological responsibility and modern retail development.
With 6.5 million visitors annually, City Center one Split is one of the leading shopping and leisure destination in the Dalmatian region. Anchor tenants include INTERSPAR, Müller, Peek&Cloppenburg, H&M, Mango, IKEA, C&A, McDonald´s and Cineplexx. The renovation, completed while the center remained fully operational, introduced energy-efficient LED lighting, water-saving installations, and a contemporary design featuring wood, metal, and a lush green wall and almost 1,000 plants. Over 40 tenants upgraded their store concepts and/or relocated within the centre, and new brands like Batak and Koykan have enriched the dining experience.
By year-end, a new entertainment and social hub will further enhance the center’s appeal, reinforcing its role as a vibrant community space. Under the slogan “Same Place, New Memories,” City Center one Split is setting a new benchmark for sustainable, experience-driven retail in Europe.
